    Sacoma was founded in 1989, we design and manufacture metal stamped and assembled parts, tubes, and engineered assemblies for the light vehicle and commercial vehicle markets. We are very good at what we do; we count many of the world’s largest corporations among our customers. We keep them supplied from three locations in central Indiana, Edinburgh, Columbus, and Madison. We are growing and adding top talent to our organization. 

    Candidate will write Mastercam programs for Mills set-up machines and prove-in parts prior hand off at our location in Madison, IN. Will use Mastercam software to create/adjust programs, complete machine set-ups, operate machines, conduct first-article inspections and then pass the parts to QC for First-article Inspections (FAI). We are seeking a fast paced highly skilled individual. All mills are Okuma.

    Responsibilities

    • Must be able to do setups of 3 axis vertical CNC machining centers from start to finish with first article 100% buy off.
    • Make changes to existing CNC programs and tooling when necessary.
    • Develop new CNC programs from either cad model or blueprint.
    • Be responsible for designing fixtures, write g code program, select tooling, setup machine, machine part to spec.
    • Help develop tooling including special cutting tools and fixturing on new product.
    • Follow all production documentation (ie. setup sheets, routing sheets, blueprints) and advise on any changes.
    • Provide project schedule to identify when each task will be performed and completed.
    • Clearly communicate issues and expectations to management.
    • Document all new part events and milestones and provide status reports to management

    Qualifications

     

    • 5 Years work experience in CNC programming
    • High School Diploma or GED preferred
    • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
    • Rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities
    • Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Knowledge of vertical, horizontal CNC machining centers
    • Must be familiar with Okuma CNC controls.
    • Tooling, machining and inspection skills required.
    • Must be able to read blueprints.
    • Microsoft Office.
    • The candidate must be capable of providing art to part support for the CNC shop
