We are very good at what we do; we count many of the world’s largest corporations among our customers.  We keep them supplied from two locations in central Indiana, Edinburgh and Columbus. Sacoma is a design and engineering-driven company, working with customers to optimize performance and manufacturing efficiency from the initial design stage through mature products.




    Installs, maintains and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipes and electrical systems in a commercial or industrial establishment by performing the following duties.


    1. Plan and Schedule work to maintain equipment in acceptable condition while anticipating and preventing interruptions in plant operations
    2. Follow all safety procedures, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), controls, safety, devices, lock out/tag out, etc.
    3. Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment
    4. Monitors machines and/or equipment to detect malfunctions, diagnose problems and coordinate maintenance and repairs
    5. Perform preventative maintenance on factory equipment as required on a regular basis
    6. Minimize downtime, repair on the line if possible, by effective use of resources including response time, technical expertise, tools, spare parts
    7. Maintain accurate documentation for purposes of good communication and lesions learned
    8. Work pro-actively with Engineering and Production to evaluate and implement machine changes to drive continuous improvement initiatives
    9. Other duties as assigned


    Requirements (Consider the required knowledge, skills, abilities, behaviors, and/or equipment)

    • High school diploma
    • Two-year technical degree preferred
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams and apply information to obtain timely repairs
    • Demonstrated skills in trouble sheeting, repairs and preventative maintenance of heavy industrial manufacturing equipment
    • Industrial background working with electrical, pneumatics and hydraulic systems
    • Experience in the field of PLC programming, industrial sensors, servo motors a plus
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusion
    • Basic PC skills/Window/Excel/Word
    • Ability to work closely with Production and Engineering to achieve maximum uptime and quality
